Release Overview

The Certent Disclosure Management (DM) platform November 2018 update includes support of consistent duplicate facts to comply with version 48 update of the EDGARElectronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR), is a SEC system used by public companies to transmit filings of annual and quarterly reports and other disclosures. Support consistent duplicate facts

EDGAR Filer Manual rule update: Rule 6.5.12 was updated in version 48 to allow consistent duplicate facts.

DM now allows a user to tagA tag renders a value in XBRL, made up of an element, a calendar, numeric units and a member, if needed. consistent facts without prompting an error:

  • The XBRL instance document will only include the more precise fact
  • The inline XBRL document will include all consistent duplicate facts
  • An error will persist if the facts are inconsistent

Bug fixes

  • Resolved an issue where the tagging details pane and view tagging table window would only display level 3 tag information
  • Resolved an issue where the option to right-click and update a CrossLink appeared grayed out
