Release Overview
The Certent Disclosure Management Platform December 2016 update includes the addition of new form types, the ability to Review XBRLExtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is an XML-based standard for defining and exchanging business and financial performance information. rendering from the DMCThe Disclosure Management Console (DMC) is the browser-based part of the DM platform used to create and manage projects and reports., Performance Improvements to Project and Report selection functionality, and many functionality enhancements to both the Disclosure Management add-in for Microsoft® Word/Excel and the DMC.
The following enhancements are included in the December 2016 Update for Disclosure Management:
Disclosure Management Console and Add-Ins
- Users can now Review their latest XBRL Rendering from the DMC
- This feature is accessed from the latest Filing Bundle found in the Files page of the DMC.
- Improved Performance:
- DMC Project page Load Times will now load faster
- Add-In Report Library Views will now load dramatically faster
- Resolved Naming Convention Inconsistencies tied to Rename, New Report Creation, Save-Report-As, and Copy functionality
- One key update is that users can now reliably enter Report names with a Period (“.”)
- The DMC will now notify users of the specific issue in the event a naming convention rule is not met
- Users can now leverage CrossLinks to connect files saved in the DMC Files page with Reports
- Reporting Managers can now reset all Reviewer’s Guide Comments from within the Add-in for Microsoft® Word rather than having to leverage Save-Report-As functionality
Enhanced Activities:
- Users can now Export their filtered results from the DMC Activities page
- Filter Selection and Display Results interface have been cleaned up and Performance has been improved
- When performing Full Document Check-In/Out users will now see a single activity rather than one for all the sections in a report
- Report and Section level lock/unlock activities are now appropriately identified as Check-In/Out on the Dashboard and Activities page views
- Dashboard Report and User Activity displays cleaned up and Hover Tips added to show Specific Section Information for section based activities
- Filing Bundles:
- When saving off a new Filing Bundle, Certent DM will now append the file name after the user submits their chosen file name
- For instance, if a user enters xyz-20161207, the Bundle will display as xyz-20161207-V1. Upon subsequent saves of the same name (xyz-20161207), the system will display as xyz-20161207-V2
- Access levels adjusted for Reporting Managers to allow for use of the DMC Validation functionality
- Menu functionality will now be accessible at all times
- XBRL Viewer Report Definitions and References will now display consistently for 2016 taxonomies
- Excel Reports without a latest activity will now sort to the bottom of a Project rather than the top
- Excel Reports can now be Archived and Renamed appropriately
- Removed meaningless folders from being generated in TaxonomyDictionary-like XBRL classifications that describe the context of data in financial statements and business documents. Library Views found in the Add-in
- Disabled the Quick Tour functionality in the DMC – Stay Tuned it will return in an upcoming release and be tied to new features!
- Increased File Size Limitations related to new report creation and the Files page
- Resolved an issue that allowed users to select the unsupported .doc and .xls file type extensions when creating a Report from the DMC
- Resolved scenarios that were leading to CrossLinks Errors upon opening Reports linked to DM Excel Reports
- Corrected an issue that would result in content saving with gray highlighting and brackets upon checking out the full document
New Form Types
• The Filing Wizard now supports the 11-K/A, S-1/A, S-3/A, S-4/A, and S-11/A form types
