Change Source

After renaming or changing the location of your Excel linking document, use change source to point the CrossLinks in your report to the new file.

  1. Check out the entire report
  2. On the Disclosure Management ribbon, click CrossLinks, then Manage Links.
  3. Check the appropriate boxes: 
    • If you are using only one Excel document, check the top left box to select all links.
    • If using multiple Excel documents, check one box associated with the linking document to be changed. The other links to the same file are automatically selected. Repeat the process for each additional linking document
    • Please note that changing the Excel linking document source for one link will change source for all links pointing to the same file.
  4. Click Change Source.
  5. Navigate to the new linking document
  6. Update CrossLinks to verify they all update with no warning messages.
