Inconsistent Dates Used in Hyperlink

In the exhibit index, each of the hyperlinks to attached exhibits must be set up using the same date that will be used in Filing Wizard. Dates that do not match will prevent the hyperlinks from working correctly, and can potentially cause an EDGARElectronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR), is a SEC system used by public companies to transmit filings of annual and quarterly reports and other disclosures. error that will prevent filing.

Correcting the Hyperlink

To correct the hyperlinks and avoid the error, you may either:

  • Remove and reapply the hyperlink (see Hyperlink Attached Exhibit), or
  • Edit the hyperlink to change the date.

    Right click > Edit Hyperlink, and change the date in the Address field (yyyymmdd format).



    You may also like to adjust the date in the ScreenTip, so that the current date is shown when hovering over the link.

EDGAR Error

If any of your hyperlinks to attached exhibits use a different date, you may receive an EDGAR error (Unresolved HTML Link Error). Although this error may not appear when using iXBRL, the hyperlinks still must be corrected in order to function as intended.
