Extra Hard Returns

Your report may have extra white space in Word and/or HTML from having more hard returns than are necessary. These may come from pressing Enter on your keyboard to adjust the placement of content on the page. To see the hard returns and other formatting marks, use Show Formatting Marks.

Moving Content to the Next Page

Using hard returns to move text to the next page may result in extra white space at the bottom of the page in HTML, as well as significant maintenance as the content of the report changes. As an alternative, you may prefer to use Keep With Next to keep tables or headings grouped with paragraphs. For pages that should always start on a new page, insert a Page Break or use the Paragraph setting Page Break Before.
