May 2019

Release Overview

The Certent Disclosure Management (DM) Platform May 2019 update includes the following feature changes and bug fixes.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (VSTO)

  • When a user launches the Certent DM add-in in Word and the VSTO version does not meet the installation requirements (10.0.6xxxx), the system prompts the user to install the minimum required VSTO version to run the application. For more information, see VSTO Version Requirement.
  • Resolved a bug when a user did not have VSTO installed on the machine: the system provided a prompt and downloaded the incorrect version of VSTO.

iXBRL

  • Removed the iXBRL feature from the preview flag. To start using inline XBRLExtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is an XML-based standard for defining and exchanging business and financial performance information., see Mark Report as Inline XBRL.
  • Resolved an issue where percent item-type elements used for a written word went to the ix:hidden section.
  • Resolved an issue where updating a narrative link containing overlapping tags dropped the XBRL tags without notification.
  • Resolved an issue where an iXBRL report failed to generate when a footnote bookmark contained multiple rows in a table.
  • Resolved an issue where a fact that was applied to a dash and treat value as zero was used: the fact went to the ix:hidden section and did not receive the ZeroDash transformation.
  • Removed leading and trailing superscript characters from non-fractions.
  • Added logic to support duration items that don’t end in a whole number date, so they do not go to the ix:hidden section.
  • Resolved an issue where ZeroDash transformation for a non-integer went to the ix:hidden section.

Miscellaneous bug fixes and features

  • Removed the error message that users received when checking out a report section containing a bookmark that overlaps multiple report sections.
  • Updated the Arelle plug-in to the latest release, which is used for iXBRL validation and rendering.
  • Added detection for when a report has Disassociated Sections, indicated with a red X icon and a message to contact Support.
