Release Overview
The Certent Disclosure Management (DM) Platform April 2017 update includes Certent’s new complimentary DisclosureNet Basic Integration for all DM users, the latest SEC XBRLExtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is an XML-based standard for defining and exchanging business and financial performance information. rendering and validation rules, login security enhancements, 2017 US GAAP TaxonomyDictionary-like XBRL classifications that describe the context of data in financial statements and business documents. Migration Support, as well as many other feature enhancements to both the DM Add-in for Microsoft® Word and the Disclosure Management Console (DMCThe Disclosure Management Console (DMC) is the browser-based part of the DM platform used to create and manage projects and reports.).
The following enhancements are included in the April 2017 Update for Disclosure Management:
DisclosureNet Basic
DisclosureNet Basic (active 4/10/17) is a complimentary offering available to all Certent Disclosure Management customers! DisclosureNet Basic provides free-to-use core research functionality that allows you to easily incorporate research into your disclosure process.
- Includes access to your primary filing country of interest: US (SEC), Canada (SEDAR), UK, or Australia.
- Provides 50+ Search criteria to make finding detailed information quick and easy.
- Returns regulatory filings, press releases, and insider trades.
- Integrates research alerts onto your DMC Dashboard for real time updates.
- Accessible from the DMC without having to sign in separately.
Security Enhancements: .NET 4.6.2 Required to Use Certent DM
All users will be required to have Microsoft .NET version 4.6.2 installed in order to use the Certent Disclosure Management add-ins for Microsoft Office. Installing this latest version requires administrative rights on your computer; if you do not have administrative rights, you’ll need to work with your IT department to install Microsoft .NET 4.6.2. Security Enhancements: Changes in Preparation of Single Sign On (SSO) Support
When accessing the main Disclosure Management login page at https://dm.certent.com, users will automatically be re-directed to an authentication server located at https://login.certent.com.

For example, "Arkansas" is a domain member in the domain "States," and would be used to classify elements such as revenues and assets in Arkansas, distinct from other states. When a fact does not have any domain member specified, it applies to the entire domain. locations, you may need to add https://*.certent.com or https://login.certent.com to your list of trusted sites. Please contact your IT department if you have issues logging into the solution. See Installation Requirements for additional information.
The session timeout modal will no longer appear when a user’s session has expired, rather, the system will resolve back to the login page. Upon signing back into the same browser session, the user will resolve to their last location in the DMC.
The “Forgot Your Password” and “Expired Password” reset options from the DMC will no longer appear as a modal/window but instead as entry fields built into a web page.
2017 Taxonomy Migration Support
Certent DM supports migration to the 2017 US GAAP taxonomy. Specific support for Taxonomy Templates, Typed Dimensions, and Extensible Lists will be available in the upcoming May 2017 update. See Perform Taxonomy Conversion for additional details.
Other
- Support for the latest SEC XBRL Arelle-based validation and rendering.
- Resolved an issue that would cause the DMC to redirect users after they attempted to log out of the solution.
- Resolved an issue that was preventing passwords from expiring after 30 days. If you haven’t reset your password within the last 30 days as of 4/5/2017, then the system will request that you reset your password upon your next sign-on attempt.
- Retired the DMC “Getting Started Guide” and replaced it with corresponding articles in new DM Help. Access DM Help from the “Help” main menu in the upper-right corner of the DMC.
