Release Overview
The Certent Disclosure Management (DM) Platform May 2017 update includes support for 2017 taxonomyDictionary-like XBRL classifications that describe the context of data in financial statements and business documents. new features, hyperlink HTML conversion support for previously filed exhibits, and HTML rendering fixes as well as enhancements to both the DM Add-in for Microsoft® Word and the Disclosure Management Console (DMCThe Disclosure Management Console (DMC) is the browser-based part of the DM platform used to create and manage projects and reports.).
Changes to the Log in Page
- When accessing the main Disclosure Management login page at https://dm.certent.com, users will no longer be redirected to https://login.certent.com, unless they are leveraging Single Sign On (SSO).
- If your company whitelists specific domainAn element that represents an entire set of other elements. The domain and its members are used to classify facts along the axis of a table. For example, "Arkansas" is a domain member in the domain "States," and would be used to classify elements such as revenues and assets in Arkansas, distinct from other states. When a fact does not have any domain member specified, it applies to the entire domain. locations, you should still add https://*.certent.com or https://login.certent.com to your list of trusted sites. - The “Forgot your password?” and “Expired password” reset options from the DMC will now appear as a modal.
2017 Taxonomy Support
Certent DM now supports the new 2017 taxonomy features in XBRLExtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is an XML-based standard for defining and exchanging business and financial performance information. tagging and taxonomies:
- Extensible list elements
- Typed dimensions
- Taxonomy templates
Hyperlink Support
The DM add-in now supports more Word to HTML hyperlink conversion.
- The Insert > Hyperlink button and right click > Hyperlink option are now enabled.
- Hyperlinks to exhibits previously filed with the SEC now function in HTML. See Exhibit Hyperlinks.
- Hyperlinks to bookmarks within your Word report function the same way as before in HTML. See Table of Contents Hyperlinks.
- NOTE: Hyperlinks to exhibits included as part of the current submission are still unsupported, but will be included in the next upcoming production release.
- Hyperlinks to external sites other than the SEC and hyperlinks using https:// are not currently allowed in SEC filings. To prevent EDGARElectronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR), is a SEC system used by public companies to transmit filings of annual and quarterly reports and other disclosures. errors, these hyperlinks are stripped and converted to text in the HTML conversion. For sec.gov addresses beginning with https://, edit the hyperlink to point to the http:// address instead.
Other
- Bulleted and alphanumeric lists now render with consistent alignment in HTML between IE 11 and Chrome.
- 2017 taxonomy validation updated for proactive error reporting
