Release Overview
The Certent Disclosure Management (DM) Platform July 2017 update includes full support for the SEC hyperlinking mandate, additional IFRS taxonomyDictionary-like XBRL classifications that describe the context of data in financial statements and business documents. functionality, and the latest SEC rendering and validation, as well as enhancements to both the DM Add-in for Microsoft® Word and the Disclosure Management Console (DMCThe Disclosure Management Console (DMC) is the browser-based part of the DM platform used to create and manage projects and reports.).
SEC Hyperlink Support
DM Word now fully supports exhibit hyperlinking.
The new right-click option “Hyperlink Attached Exhibit” creates hyperlinks to exhibits filed in the same submission (filed herewith). See Exhibit Hyperlinks for detailed steps.
From the last release:
- The Insert > Hyperlink button and right click > Hyperlink option are enabled.
- Hyperlinks to exhibits previously filed with the SEC (http://sec.gov...) function in HTML. See Exhibit Hyperlinks.
- Hyperlinks to bookmarks within your Word report function the same way as before in HTML. See Table of Contents Hyperlinks.
- Hyperlinks to external sites other than the SEC and hyperlinks using https:// are not currently allowed in SEC filings. To prevent EDGARElectronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR), is a SEC system used by public companies to transmit filings of annual and quarterly reports and other disclosures. errors, these hyperlinks are stripped and converted to text in the HTML conversion. For sec.gov addresses beginning with https://, edit the hyperlink to point to the http:// address instead.
IFRS Support: Labels

IFRS Support: Hypercube (Dimension)
The hypercube structure can now be built within an IFRS extension taxonomy.
In an extension taxonomy including both SEC and the IFRS 2016 Taxonomy, the first member found under an Axis can be used to tagA tag renders a value in XBRL, made up of an element, a calendar, numeric units and a member, if needed.. Please note: US-GAAP taxonomies still correctly treat the first member as a DomainAn element that represents an entire set of other elements. The domain and its members are used to classify facts along the axis of a table. For example, "Arkansas" is a domain member in the domain "States," and would be used to classify elements such as revenues and assets in Arkansas, distinct from other states. When a fact does not have any domain member specified, it applies to the entire domain., not available for tagging.
Arelle Update
The DMC and DM Word are now running the latest SEC rendering and validation.
Other
- Resolved an issue that was causing DMC sessions to timeout when they shouldn’t have.
- Deprecated elements will no longer show up as potential tagging replacements or options.
- Users removed from a company will no longer show up in the Manage Users page.
- Removed a false positive validation error related Typed Dimensions that was showing up despite being correctly tagged.
- When utilizing Typed Dimensions the system will now prevent users from incorrectly entering the format for CCYY-MM-DD.
- Resolved an issue that was preventing users from creating a CrossLinks connection to a linking file that contains Charts.
