User Roles

Each user is assigned a role to control whether they have access to review, edit content, or work with XBRLExtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is an XML-based standard for defining and exchanging business and financial performance information.. To set up or change a user, see Users.

User Roles Chart

Available user roles include:

  • Reviewer - Reviewers read reports, add comments, and use filters. Reviewers cannot make changes to the content of a report.
  • Editor - Editors can use comments and filers like a Reviewer, and can also update report content. Editors can work in DM Word to update the report content, and they can link to and update from Microsoft Excel using CrossLinks.
  • Designer - Designers can use the same functions as Editors, and can also work in the XBRL.

Designers and Editors both require a Contributor license.

Company Administrator

Specify only one user as Company Administrator.

Access to Reports

Access to specific projects, reports, and sections is determined by the Reporting Manager, using Manage Users and Assign Users.
