Add Comments

DM comments allow you to leave comments on report content or on XBRLExtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) is an XML-based standard for defining and exchanging business and financial performance information. tags. To add a new comment:

  1. With the report section checked out, select the row, column, value, or text in the report. Check out is required to leave comments.
  2. In the Review Details panel, click Add (blue plus icon) and then type your comment in the white Comment Details box.

Comments Pane

The Review Details panel on the right side of the DM Word window contains the Comment Details, Comment History, and Tagging Details panes. If you have closed the window, to turn on the Comments Pane, click on the Disclosure Management ribbon, then Tool Box, and select Comments Pane.

Certent DM stores the following information in the Comment History section:

  • Updated On

Deleting Comments

Most often, users reply to comments rather than deleting them. You can delete your own comments. The Company Administrator can delete comments by other users. Contact Us if you would like us to clear all comments (other than approvals) by using Delete Reviewer's Guide Comments.

Exporting Comments

To export a list of comment details, on the File ribbon, click Export Details to Excel. Select the types of comments to include.
