Image Troubleshooting

For information on inserting images in your report, see Images.

Image Not Showing in HTML

If an image is not showing when you Preview HTML, take a screenshot, save as a .jpg file, and insert the image as described above.

Image Missing in Saved HTML File

HTML files do not save images inside the files. Review directly from the HTML preview, save a .mht file, or Print from HTML to a PDF file.

Stretch to fit

Images cannot be set to adjust to the width of the HTML window. The widest image should be just smaller than the width between the left and right margins in Word.

Images In Text Box

Avoid using text boxes, which are not supported in the HTML conversion. Instead, place the image in a table or in the document text and adjust the settings for the best output in HTML.

EDGAR Error – UNREFERENCED_GRAPHIC_DOCUMENT

There could be an image in a header or footer that is not visible. See Unreferenced Graphic Document EDGAR Error.

Objects

Objects are not supported in the HTML conversion. Use images instead. For lines, consider using underscores for a small line "_______________________________" , or using a Word line: press "---", then Enter.

Black background

If your .png image has a black background in the HTML, replace it with a new screen shot in your report, rather than using Paste > Picture.
