Release Notes
The Certent Disclosure Management platform September 2016 update includes the retirement of the CMC and its replacement with the new Disclosure Management Console (DMCThe Disclosure Management Console (DMC) is the browser-based part of the DM platform used to create and manage projects and reports.) for all users, many new DMC features related to the organization and management of projects and reports, and updates to drive consistency between the Disclosure Management add-in for Microsoft® Word and the DMC.
Disclosure Management Console
DMC Replaces CMC and Change in Landing Page
- DMC officially replaces the CMC user experience. This release marks the end of the opt-in period and as such all users will utilize the DMC going-forward for their Disclosure Management needs
- When logging in for the first time after the 9.28 release, those companies that have not previously opted-in to the DMC will log in to the new experience
- New Dashboard page and functionality has been added to the DMC. Upon logging in to Certent DM, users will now land on the new Dashboard page
The Dashboard launches with four widgets:- Announcements – See news and other updates from Certent regarding the DM Product
- Report Activity – Report-specific, latest activities by user
- User Activity – Latest activities performed by users in the system
- DisclosureNet – Latest alerts from your personalized DisclosureNet alerts will now flow into the DMC
Projects: Access, Organization and Functionality
- Disclosure Management Microsoft® Word and Excel reports can now be created from the options gear at the project Level on the DMC
- The ability to upload an existing local Word or Excel file now takes place from the DMC New Report option rather than from the add-in
- Copy report and copy project functionality can now be performed in the DMC from the options gear at the project level. Users will no longer have to launch a report and utilize Save-Report-As to create a new report
- Copy Report can be performed between projects
- Copy Project creates a new project with copies of all the report underlying the original project
- New Group Reports and drag-and-drop functionality added to projects to provide additional organization options
- Project and report gear options access and visibility tied to assignments and Reporting Manager role. See Getting Started guide for further details
- Report Activity and filtering now available from new icon next to reports
Disclosure Management Add-in for Microsoft® Word and Excel
Standardized Library Views Between the Add-in and DMC
- General library view changes:
- The DMC orders projects and reports by latest activity while the add-in library views will order based on alpha-numeric order
- The DMC library view includes all active and completed reports
- Users will no longer be able to add or delete projects nor delete reports
- File > Open DMC library view changes
- Users will no longer be able to load local Word or Excel files from File > Open as reports are no longer created from the add-in, but instead the DMC
- This functionality will allow users to open existing reports from the DMC and has been updated to reflect that view
- Save Report As Library View Changes and Functionality Change
- This functionality will no longer offer the option to designate where the Report is saved as it is no longer the means to create a copy of an existing Report nor finalize the creation of a new Report (now available via DMC)
- The option now limits a user to saving in the same project
- This functionality will be maintained for limited scenarios
- Compare library view changes
- This functionality will allow users to open existing reports from the DMC and has been updated to reflect that view
- Existing local file options work as they always have
- CrossLinks library view changes
- This functionality will allow users to open existing reports from the DMC and has been updated to reflect that view
- Existing local file options work as they always have
- Filing Wizard library View Changes
- This functionality will allow users to open existing reports from the DMC and has been updated to reflect that view
- Existing local file options work as they always have
- Create Filing Package > Bundle library view changes
- This functionality will no longer offer the option to designate where the filing bundle is saved to the DMC, as it will always save to the Files page
New Form Type
- Filing Wizard now supports the S-8 POS form type - Stay tuned for the continued addition of new form types in future releases!
Other
- Resolved issues with 2016 taxonomies related to Modifying TaxonomyDictionary-like XBRL classifications that describe the context of data in financial statements and business documents. Entry Points, Viewer Report definitions and references, and definitions and references in the Reviewer’s Guide
- Project context has been added to reports when using the DMC Search functionality
- When you Archive, the system warns users that the action can’t be performed if another user is actively working in the report
- Reporting Managers can now manually Assign Users at the report level
- Reporting Manager access can no longer be adjusted from the Manage | Users page as the role has unlimited access within a company
